The Utah Jazz will look for a critical win over the Miami Heat after dropping three games in a row and falling below .500 on the season.

It’s been an ugly recent stretch for the Utah Jazz as they’ve dropped three straight games in a fashion that has left fans little to feel reassured about. Before this most recent slump, the Utah Jazz were undefeated at home, however, after dropping games to both the Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers inside Vivint Smart Home Arena where Utah looked utterly uninspired, there’s a number of concerns facing the Jazz regardless of where they’re playing.

And Friday’s challenge against the visiting Miami Heat most certainly will not be an easy one. The Heat come in with an identical record to the Jazz at 5-6, but they’ve looked quite improved of late as they’re coming off a solid win over the Phoenix Suns and recently topped a formidable LA Clippers team.

Miami is well-coached and has a well-rounded group that’s capable of competing with and beating just about any team in the league. Therefore, especially given how dismal the Jazz have looked of late including on their home court, they’ll need to make some major adjustments if they hope to break out of their slump and return to a .500 record.

Earlier today, I touched on four things the Jazz need to try in order to see major improvements as a team, but here I want to touch specifically on what Utah will need to focus on and do to come away with a win over the Miami Heat on Friday. They’ll have their work cut out for them, but if the Jazz can turn around some recent flaws and put major emphasis on the following areas, they could very well right the ship sooner than many might have foreseen.
