8) Utah Jazz (3-3)

Last month: 6

Here’s a weirdo stat for you — when Rudy Gobert has been on the court, the Jazz have been outscored by 35 points this season. That’s the worst mark on the team, which isn’t a good thing when you’re talking about the cornerstone for your franchise. Look for Gobert to chip away at that deficit when the Jazz face the Mavs on Monday night.

As far as the season goes, the Jazz have been a Jekyll and Hyde squad, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets, but losing to the LA Clippers and Phoenix Suns.

They’ve maintained their defensive prowess throughout, though, holding opponents to just under 94 points per game and limiting 3-point attempts. Utah still has room to improve on both sides of the ball, however.
