2) San Antonio Spurs (4-2)
Last month: 3
The San Antonio Spurs may have dropped two straight games (both were on the road, for the record), but, on the whole, they continue to do Spurs things. I.e. win games and execute better than anybody.
The fact that they’ve done as well as they have sans superstar wing Kawhi Leonard and their future Hall of Famer, Tony Parker, is testament to head coach Gregg Popovich and the organization.
LaMarcus Aldridge has turned the clock back to his Portland days, putting up 26 points per contest. It’s been a boon for Coach Pop’s squad, but the Spurs need Leonard’s quad to start cooperating if they want to remain near the top of the West’s table.
