Prediction – Jazz 108, Suns 99

Despite what many thought would be the case, thus far the Utah Jazz have shown in preseason that they do indeed have the ability to score. Therefore, especially against a less than daunting Suns defense, I expect the Jazz to come out strong once again and put up over 100 points.

The Jazz looked cool, calm and collected for the majority of their first contest against the Suns as they were able to get contributions from several players. Given their depth and the previous success they just had against this Phoenix squad, I feel comfortable pinning them as 108-99 victors.

The thing I’m most looking forward to seeing about this contest is simply how the Jazz react to playing on the road. The Jazz weren’t bad away from home last season (22-19), but being able to take the same energy and poise from home into an opponents’ buildings is the sign of a very skilled and disciplined team.

Therefore, ideally we’ll see a solid first example of that and the Jazz will be able to log their fourth straight preseason win on Monday.
