(1) Russell Westbrook (PG, Oklahoma City Thunder)
No surprises here.
Mr. Triple-Double is coming off one of the single most impressive seasons in NBA history.
Shot distribution between Westbrook, George and Anthony will be well documented all season. Westbrook should enjoy the lightened burden on the offensive end as the Thunder look to reclaim their spot among the Western Conference’s elite.
The Thunder should pose a difficult challenge within the Northwest Division. Do they have what it takes to challenge the Warriors? Only time will tell.
One thing that isn’t in question is Westbrook’s ability to dominate games, especially down the stretch.
There really was no other choice for this spot.
