Despite some mixed expectations for the Utah Jazz in 2017-18, the new-look team has no shortage of intriguing story lines this upcoming season.

The Utah Jazz had an unusual, though somewhat fascinating offseason. Although they failed to re-sign Gordon Hayward and George Hill, they were able to bounce back with a flurry of additions that will certainly make the team deep and if all goes well, perhaps create a highly competitive squad whose whole is much more formidable than the sum of its parts.

Even though several have predicted that the Jazz will take a significant step backwards, in a lot of ways the upcoming 2017-18 campaign is set to be even more intriguing than last year. The Jazz have been pinned with low expectations that they certainly expect to exceed and several guys have a ton to prove. Thus, watching how the season is going to unfold for them will be absolutely exhilarating.

In fact, one of the best things about the upcoming season is all of the unknowns and the interesting story lines surrounding several individual players as well as the team as a whole. With so much at stake and even more in question, the following are the ten story lines (in no particular order) that I’m most looking forward to witnessing unfold during the 2017-18 season.
