Rudy Gobert wraps with French immersion students

Jazz players have reconvened in Salt Lake City for training camp, but they’re not just spending time in the gym. Rudy Gobert took a break from pick-up ball and season prep on Wednesday to visit students at Foxboro Elementary School in North Salt Lake.

When he arrived at the school, he was welcomed like a rock star by the kids there. Via Jody Genessy on Twitter —

Gobert went on to answer questions for the students, many of which were involved in the school’s French immersion program. Much to Gobert’s delight, those kids asked questions in French.

“It’s always fun,” he told The Salt Lake Tribune afterword. “It just makes me remember when I was a kid and how I would’ve loved to meet an NBA player.”
