5) Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves may have had the best summer in the league, trading for All-Star Jimmy Butler, inking Jeff Teague, Taj Gibson and Jamal Crawford, as well as drafting Justin Patton. Some are even calling them the favorites in the Northwest Division and a potential Top 4 team come playoff time.

I get all that and the fact that they’ve got future MVP candidate Karl-Anthony Towns and former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins in tow. However, I’m here to tell you to pump the brakes a bit on the T-Wolves.

They’ll be a playoff team. Even in a tough conference, they’re way too talented now not to be. But only a handful of teams have ever gone from cellar-dwellars to contenders and Minny’s roster isn’t without its faults. They may get there one day, but the Wolves won’t be challenging the Warriors next season.
