The newest Utah Jazz uniforms have apparently leaked via NBA2K and they weren’t exactly received with the warmest of receptions.

Just last week, a so-called “uniform estimation” of the Utah Jazz’s new Nike Mindset jersey was released per Conrad Burry of Sportslogos.net. Due to some inside scoops, he had claimed to have a pretty good knowledge of what the Jazz’s new alternate uniform for 2017-18 would look like.

Here’s the glimpse that he released:

The gold uniform with the less than thrilling overall appearance was met with little praise, but several fans were holding out hope that once the actual jersey itself came out, it would look a little more appealing.

Unfortunately, if the latest leak – this time from the new NBA2K video game itself – is to be believed, then Burry’s rendering wasn’t far from accurate. Below, per KSL’s Andy Larsen, you can see the uniform as shown on NBA2K from two different angles:

Aside from a slight difference in the trim (which Burry predicted there would be) and a lack of any sort of cool “background texture” to go on the gold uniform itself, this leak looks nearly identical to the one prior. I mentioned previously that I actually liked the J-Note and number combo, and I still stand by that, but the overall color scheme and lack of anything else noteworthy on the uniform make it pretty dull to be honest.

And the reactions across social media were quite similar to mine as several other Jazz fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure with the new uniforms:

And those reactions are only scratching the surface. So far, it’s safe to say that unless the real thing looks much, much sharper than it does on NBA2K (which granted is entirely possible), then most Jazz fans aren’t exactly going to be all that thrilled with the new look. Many have clamored for the more traditional green jerseys or the throwback purples, but it looks like neither will be on the table for the Jazz this upcoming season.

Only one new Nike uniform – the one purportedly inspired by the community – remains a mystery for now for the Utah Jazz. But given the initial reaction to the “Mindset” uniform, hopefully Nike and the Jazz can bounce back with a thrilling final alternate jersey.

This gold uniform that has only been leaked for now is set to officially release in the Fall of 2017, whereas the fourth uniform will release in Winter of 2017.
