Even though the Utah Jazz won’t look quite the same in 2017-18 as they did in 2016-17, there are still ample reasons to be excited for the upcoming year.

The offseason certainly hasn’t gone exactly how the Utah Jazz had originally planned. Rather than look to improve their already daunting roster and potentially reach new heights next season, the Jazz instead likely took a bit of a step backwards. Fortunately, due to the craftiness of Utah’s front office, it doesn’t appear that it will be all that big of a drop-off and if a few things come together, they could still be nearly as competitive next year as they were in 2016-17.

However, with the loss of former Jazz All-Star Gordon Hayward as well as solid (when healthy) starting point guard George Hill, and with a slew of new faces on the team, it’s understandable that fans would be feeling a bit of angst for the upcoming season. There’s surely several question marks surrounding the upcoming year, but that also brings with it quite a bit of excitement.

Therefore, while we won’t be witnessing the same team as last year that finally broke into the playoffs for the first time in five seasons, there’s still plenty of reasons to look forward to the upcoming year. In fact, in some ways, I’m even more excited for 2017-18 than I was for 2016-17.

And in case you’re wondering what has me feeling so stoked, here’s a look at the top three reasons why Jazz fans ought to be looking forward to the upcoming season.
