Jazz Unrestricted Free Agents

The Utah Jazz themselves will have some tough decisions to make concerning the offseason of 2018 as not only will they have a trio of restricted free agents in Raul Neto, Rodney Hood, and Dante Exum, but they’ll also have two solid players hit unrestricted free agency in Derrick Favors and Joe Johnson. Favors will have a lot to prove this upcoming year, but if he can return to his form from 2015-16, then the Jazz would be severely damaged by his departure.

Joe Johnson meanwhile is certainly getting up there in years, but was phenomenal for the Jazz last season not only as just a player but also as an experienced veteran leader, especially in the playoffs. Ideally both will play well this upcoming season and want to stay with the Jazz but only time will tell whether either or both of them figure into the Jazz’s long-term plans or not.
