WASHINGTON, DC – MAY 04: Bojan Bogdanovic /

Bojan Bogdanovic

Shooting is, was and always will be at a premium in the NBA and Bojan Bogdanovic is one of the better shooters in this year’s free agent class. The 28-year-old is also coming off arguably his best season as an NBA player. Splitting time between the Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards, he averaged 13.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

In his final 26 games with the Wizards, he was particularly deadly. He was a 39-percent three-point shooter and knocked down 93.4 percent of his foul shots to close out the year. When Rodney Hood was struggling with his own shot down the stretch, it would’ve been a nice to have a player like Bogdanovic to bring in off the bench.

The rub here is defense. Bogdanovic has posted negative marks in both net rating and defensive box plus/minus every year he’s been in the league. This past season, his teams allowed more than 110 points per 100 possessions when he was on the floor.

Still, he’s in line for a big pay raise after making just $3.6 million last season and is a proven commodity as a floor-spacer.
