Derrick White – PG/SG

Height: 6’5″, Wingspan: 6’7 1/2″, Weight: 200

Derrick White is one of the older prospects in the draft at 23-years-old, however his senior season at Colorado was without a doubt an impressive one. He averaged 18.3 points in 32.9 minutes per game all while shooting 57 percent from the field and 40.1 percent from deep. White’s story is a cool one as he started his college career with a Division II program, only to go on to earn first team All-Pac 12 honors as a senior.

He has great size for a guard and is a comfortable and confident scorer, however a lack of strength and quickness could hinder him on defense. Nevertheless, point guard has long been an area of woe for the Jazz and if White can continue a shocking ascent similar to the one he went through from a Division II player to an NBA prospect, he could very well develop into something special.

Not to mention, most mock drafts have him sliding into the second round, so if the Utah Jazz want him with the 30th pick, there’s a relatively good chance that he will still be available.
