Terrance Ferguson, 6’7″, Adelaide 36ers

Terrence Ferguson wasn’t on the radar of most NBA fans until recently, because instead of playing one year of college basketball, he chose to play a season of professional basketball in Australia.

Not playing in college actually looks to have hurt his stock, because during his time in Australia he did not see consistent playing time. Teams are going to be relying heavily on his pre-draft workouts, and depending on how he performs, he could move higher in the draft.

He is an explosive athlete who has a good shooting stroke. With his height (6’7″), length (6’9″ wingspan) and athleticism, he’ll have the ability to guard three positions.

He needs to put on some weight and muscle (like most rookies), but he moves his feet well and tries hard on defense. Combine his shooting ability with his athleticism and measurables, and he could step in and immediately provide help to the Jazz as a 3-and-D specialist off the bench.

The potential is there, and there is a chance he will be available with the 24th pick if the Jazz are interested.

He played in Australia, so he should fit right in, right?
