#2. Rodney Hood game winner and shimmy

Although it wasn’t on as big of a stage as Johnson’s clutch shot, Rodney Hood gave us another of the most memorable plays of the year. In a mid-December game nationally televised on ESPN, the Utah Jazz led for nearly the entire game, but faltered down the stretch, giving the Dallas Mavericks a chance to hit the game winner on their final possession.

However, former Dallas point guard Deron Williams took the shot too early after which Rodney Hood was able to collect the rebound, storm down the court and drill a game-winning three-pointer with less than a second to go. You can relive the insanity here:

Top off the awesome game-winning shot with the iconic “Hood Shimmy” that ensued, and this one easily became an instant classic.
