Joe Ingles

Nicknames: Slow-Mo Joe, Jinglin’ Joe

Utah Jazz TV announcer Craig Bolerjack refers to Joe Ingles as either Slow-Mo Joe or Jinglin’ Joe more than he tends to use his real name. Luckily, both are quite fitting of the Aussie and his comical and laid-back personality.

However, the Slow-Mo Joe nickname which could be associated with Ingles’ slow style of play or perceived lack of quickness certainly didn’t hold up as all that accurate in this year’s postseason as Ingles was able to lock down the LA Clippers’ JJ Redick defensively and looked far from playing in slow motion.

Nevertheless, the name has a nice ring to it and one look at his slow (though deadly accurate) release will tell you that it has every reason to stick.
