Zach Randolph

Zach Randolph may be getting up there in age, but he still proved beyond a shadow of a doubt last season that he can ball. He also came off the bench for 68 of his 73 regular season games played last season and the willingness to do that would without a doubt be huge for the Jazz.

Randolph is already on a relatively friendly $10 million dollar contract and given his age, for him to be a valuable pickup for the Jazz, he would likely have to agree to a similar deal moving forward. That’s certainly not unheard of (Joe Johnson is excellent evidence of that), but it would likely also require the Jazz to get a little bit lucky.

It also may very well result in the departure of Boris Diaw. That could be a tough decision for the Jazz, but given Randolph’s ability to grind, rebound and score in the post with the best of them, I think it would be a wise decision for the Jazz to make.
