The Utah Jazz have some important objectives that need accomplished this offseason as they look to take another big step forwards in their pursuit of an NBA title.
The Utah Jazz are coming off, in my opinion, a very successful season and are definitely trending in the right direction. They have countered numerous injuries with a tough ‘next man up’ mentality and even managed to beat a loaded team in a playoff series.
Looking at the age of the core group of players, as well as the brains of the Jazz’s front office, there’s no reason the goal for this team shouldn’t be improving from one year to the next and to eventually to win an NBA championship. But to go from being a good, top four or five NBA team to having a legitimate chance of winning the title is harder now than ever.
Every team that has transitioned from being a good team to being a championship team has taken baby steps along the way, and that’s exactly what the Jazz have to do this offseason. If they hope to stay on that current path, then these following steps are the ones the Jazz have to take in order to keep a contending team and build into something more.
