Reactions to Utah Jazz end of season player interviews
Jeff Withey
Jeff Withey provided some good minutes for this Jazz team on a handful of occasions, but overall he in no way proved to be all that crucial of a member of the team. As a free agent himself, depending on whether the Jazz need a backup center or not, there’s a good chance that Withey may find himself as one of the odd men out that Utah opts not to seek to re-sign.
The first question directed his way had to do with the domestic violence allegations that came against him during the first round series against the Clippers and very little was gleaned from his answer or any of his responses thereafter, to be frank. The majority of the questions sent his way seemed to be more about his teammates than about what he felt he would bring to the team in the future.
Withey had positive things to say about the team, stated that he’d like to stay and expressed that he was grateful for the chance to play here after joining the team without a guaranteed contract, but it’s probable that he knows that his chances of returning next season may very well be bleak.
