Utah Jazz: Potential Wing Targets in Case Joe Ingles is Too Expensive
By Caleb Manser
Bojan Bogdanovic
14.1 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 1.4 APG, .446 FG%, .365 3pt FG%
As you can tell from the picture above, he’s a shooter. Bogdanovic was recently acquired at the trade deadline by the Washington Wizards to fill holes in their shallow bench.
The Wizards had their starting five players all averaging at least ten points per game, but the leading scorer off the bench previous to acquiring Bogdanovic was Marcus Thornton, scoring 6.6 points per game. YIKES!
It’s easy to see why the Wizards wanted to pry Bogdanovic from the Brooklyn Nets. Since joining the Wizards the Croatian is shooting 38.9 percent from three and 92.2 percent from the free throw line, posts an individual offensive rating of 114 and has already exploded for a 29 point game as well as two 27 point games.

How would Bogdanovic fare as a Jazz man? It’s hard to tell since the Jazz don’t really have designated volume scorers other than Rodney Hood. Joe Ingles has worked his way up in Quin Snyder’s rotation so fast because of his ability to make good passes on time and on target, and his general hustle.
It is concerning that Bogdanovic has posted a higher defensive rating than offensive rating in his career until he landed with Washington, I can’t confidently say that Bogdanovic would be a good replacement for Ingles, and acquiring him would only be possible if Washington is ready to give him up after just half a season and a playoff run.
