In looking back at my bold predictions from mid-January, unfortunately the Utah Jazz failed to live up to expectations in a handful of manners.

Back on January 12th, not long after the Utah Jazz had defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, I went out on a limb with four bold predictions about how the Jazz would fare between that point and the trade deadline. They followed that up by going on a six-game winning streak and many of my supposedly bold predictions were actually looking conservative for a time.

However, since that point the Jazz were very much up and down going into the All-Star break and while for a time I thought I may go 4-for-4 on my predictions, it turns out that wasn’t quite the case. Nevertheless the Jazz have still played well enough to find themselves securely in the playoff mix in the Western Conference with plenty of time to move their way up the standings.

So without further ado, with the less than thrilling trade deadline having come and gone, let’s take a look at how those predictions from over a month ago have actually played out and what they mean for Utah moving forward.
