Toronto Raptors – Cory Joseph

The Toronto Raptors already landed Serge Ibaka from the Orlando Magic, but there are plenty of indications that they’re still not done. The Raptors have been slumping majorly of late and if they want to have any chance of competing with the Cleveland Cavaliers come playoff time, it’s pretty obvious that they’ll need to continue to retool.

And in terms of which one of their expendable players may fit best with the Jazz, the first guy that comes to mind is Cory Joseph. Joseph is an underrated point guard who can shoot the ball well both from deep and mid-range and is also a formidable defender. He provided the Raptors with a big lift in last year’s playoffs and as such would bring some much-needed experience to the Jazz.

He began his career in San Antonio and so you know he was brought up there with an innate sense of discipline and basketball smarts, so he could very well turn out to be a gem when reunited with Dennis Lindsey as a member of the Utah Jazz.

Though the Raptors have reportedly stated their intentions to hold onto their young players, another guy I like on Toronto is Norman Powell. He’s still pretty raw, but has shown a lot of potential and could very well be an excellent impact player in the future if the Jazz decide to stray away from Alec Burks and/or Rodney Hood.

Honorable Mention – Norman Powell
