Orlando Magic – Jodie Meeks

Unfortunately, the player that I would have most liked the Jazz to target from Orlando has already been traded as the Magic sent Serge Ibaka to the Toronto Raptors earlier this week. The Magic will likely continue to be active as they’ve also been tied to a rumored deal to receive Reggie Jackson from the Pistons in exchange for D.J. Augustin and Jeff Green.

It’s pretty unclear who else the Magic are looking to trade but it would appear that any of their role players are quite available. Unfortunately with Ibaka out of the mix, there’s not a ton of interesting players that make sense for the Jazz left on the roster, but one such player that I could see fitting well with the Jazz is Jodie Meeks.

Meeks is a solid three-point shooter at 40.4 percent this season and a well-traveled veteran with a great deal of experience. Placing him on the perimeter alongside Utah’s reserves and in the locker room as a knowledgeable presence could potentially be very beneficial for the Jazz.

The Magic also have a talented center in Nikola Vucevic who appears very likely to be traded, but while skill-wise he’d be intriguing, he simply wouldn’t fit well alongside Rudy Gobert unless he came off the bench which seems highly unlikely. Much like I mentioned with the Knicks, this is a team that the Jazz should likely pass on doing business with.

Honorable Mention – Nikola Vucevic
