New Orleans Pelicans – E’Twaun Moore

It’s quite obvious that more than anything the New Orleans Pelicans want a capable center to play alongside Anthony Davis so that they can slide their All-Star back to his more comfortable power forward position. The recent reports of the Pelicans trying to obtain the likes of Nerlens Noel and Brook Lopez make that abundantly clear.

And given that they don’t seem to be headed anywhere fast this season, it’s more than likely that they’ll be open to trading just about anyone this season. Jrue Holiday really intrigues me as a potential backup point guard for the Jazz but given that he’s their second best player, I wonder if he might be the main exception outside of AD.

The Pelicans have a couple of other intriguing players such as Terrence Jones and Tyreke Evans, but the most realistic and well-fitting player for the Jazz in my mind is E’Twaun Moore. Moore isn’t a prolific scorer, per se, but he has become a solid shooter this season as he’s converting on 45.8 percent of his field goal attempts and 38.7 percent of his threes.

He’s also an underrated defender and solid role player who’s willing to take on whatever task is placed upon him. If the Jazz value some more depth and consistency at the shooting guard position, Moore could potentially be a great fit off the bench.

Honorable Mention – Jrue Holiday
