Milwaukee Bucks – John Henson

The Milwaukee Bucks already made quite a surprising move when they sent Miles Plumlee to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for two bigs in Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes. As such, they now find themselves with a plethora of big men and are likely to make further moves at the deadline to either help find their way into the playoffs or build for the future.

To me, the most appealing big man on their roster that they’d realistically be willing to move is John Henson. Henson hasn’t quite lived up to the potential he began to show in his second season in the league, but he’s still an efficient scorer around the rim and a capable shot blocker.

He’d certainly be an upgrade over Jeff Withey as a backup center for the Jazz and would allow Favors to play more time at power forward where he has looked more comfortable for most of his career. Henson is a player who has gone back and forth between the bench and the starting lineup depending on where he’s been needed so he’d likely have no problem doing as much for the Jazz.

Although the power forward position has been noticeably weak for the Jazz, they also don’t have much for a backup center, so adding a guy like Henson could potentially help remedy both ills.

Mirza Teletovic is another guy for the Bucks who could be available and while his rim protection and defense wouldn’t be nearly as formidable as Henson’s, he could be another stretch-four option for the Jazz. However, rather than bring anything new to the Jazz, in a lot of ways he would be very similiar to what the Jazz already have in Trey Lyles and Boris Diaw. Therefore, I like the idea of adding Henson much more.
