Miami Heat – James Johnson

The Miami Heat have unsurprisingly struggled since the departure of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade and though they’ve had a few brilliant moments this year, they’re a team that’s very likely to blow things up as they look more towards the future than the present.

Goran Dragic has been brought up in the conversation of trade talks all year and while he’s a solid starter at the point guard, the chances of him coexisting with George Hill from a chemistry or financial standpoint are slim to none. Dragic wants to be a starting point guard and that’s the role he’s likely to stay in wherever he ends up.

The Heat do have a couple of intriguing role players that could be traded though and the one that stands out the most to me is James Johnson. Johnson is putting up career-highs this year in points (12.2), rebounds (5.0) and assists (3.3) while shooting 48.7 percent from the field and an improving 35.3 percent from deep.

He’s a versatile forward capable of playing multiple positions and he’s an all-around solid player on both ends of the floor. He’s found his groove coming off the bench for the Miami Heat and he’d likely do the same for the Jazz, once again helping to patch up their power forward position.

Honorable Mention – Goran Dragic
