#8. 1/7 Utah at Minnesota
This game differs drastically from the previous two as it wasn’t a dominant win over a solid team, yet it was still one of the most exciting games of the season. Down nine in the fourth quarter, this one looked all but over as it appeared Utah would fall short against the lackluster Minnesota Timberwolves.
But Utah used an 11-0 run to close out the game and sneak by with a mind-blowing 94-92 win. The key shot in that run was a Derrick Favors three – yes, a Derrick Favors three – from the corner that brought the Jazz within two.
It was one of those impressive closeouts that was most certainly too close for comfort but also gave the Jazz one of the most thrilling conclusions to a game this season.
