#9. 12/14 Utah vs. Oklahoma City
This blowout win over the Oklahoma City Thunder closely resembled Utah’s performance against the Rockets as the Jazz once again lit it up from three, shooting an even more efficient 13-of-23 (.565) and using an 18-4 run about midway through the game to shut down Russell Westbrook and Co.
Rodney Hood was the man of the night as he sank five threes and finished with 25 points. Defensively, despite missing George Hill the Jazz smothered Westbrook and forced him into just a 7-of-25 shooting night to seal the 109-89 win.
It was a solid victory over a closely matched Western Conference opponent and against the former teammate and perpetual Jazz villain Enes Kanter. At the time the victory was also Utah’s ninth win in 11 games giving it even more significance as they surged up the standings in convincing fashion.
