Key Stat – Rebounds

Although the Milwaukee Bucks are very athletic and solid offensively, one area that has greatly plagued them this season has been their rebounding. Despite playing at a top-ten pace, they’re currently just 26th in the league in rebounding, grabbing 42.3 boards per contest.

The Jazz, meanwhile, have just a slightly better rebounding figure of 42.6 per game, but do so playing at the league’s slowest pace. Perhaps what’s a better indicator of their ability to crash the glass is the two teams’ rebounding differential. The Jazz are ranked 8th in the NBA as they outrebound opponents by 1.8 per game while the Bucks come in 18th with opponents edging them out by 0.4 rebounds per contest.

Despite posting solid figures and boasting an extremely talented rebounder in Rudy Gobert, the Jazz have seen their rebound differential drop in recent weeks, so it is something that they’ll need to look to improve not only in tonight’s contest but also throughout the season.

And as they work to contain a high-octane Milwaukee team that isn’t normally a good rebounding squad, the Jazz will need to make certain that they take care of business by keeping the Bucks off the glass and preventing any easy second-chance buckets while producing some of their own on the opposite end.
