Alec Burks

How does one grade Alec Burks’ performance in limited action this year? After all, he’s appeared in just seven games since returning from injury and has yet to play more than 14 minutes in a single contest. If you ask me, the answer is that you don’t.

On the year, he’s averaging 2.6 points in under seven minutes per contest and shooting a hair under 40 percent from the field, but those numbers are pretty meaningless. Burks’ shouldn’t be judged until he’s able to handle regular minutes.

I, for one, was encouraged by his eight points on 3-of-5 shooting and six rebounds against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Especially given the fact that the Jazz outscored the Cavs by 11 when he was on the floor.

Still, until he’s fully back in the rotation, you can’t really place too many expectations on the 25-year-old. So I’ll reserve my judgment until that comes to pass.

Grade: Incomplete.
