The 2016-17 NBA season promises to be an exciting one, especially for a revamped Utah Jazz squad. Here are five things I’m looking forward to.

It’s a good time to be a basketball fan with crazy things going down heading into the 2016-17 season. Kevin Durant has taken his talents to the Bay Area. LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off one of the most eventful championship runs in league history. Derrick Rose says the New York Knicks are a super team (who knew?!).

These are just some of the stories making headlines as we get set for another year of NBA basketball. In other words, intrigue abounds.

If you’re a fan of the Utah Jazz, you’re probably extra pumped for the upcoming campaign. Following a summer that saw the team add battle-tested veterans George Hill, Joe Johnson and Boris Diaw, expectations are higher than they’ve been in years for the Jazz to make waves in the Western Conference.

News of Gordon Hayward’s broken finger notwithstanding, Jazz fans have a lot more to look forward to than they have in recent years.

With the start of the season just weeks away, here are five things that have piqued my interest for the year to come.
