5) Al Jefferson

A certain segment of the Utah Jazz fanbase would have you believe that the Al Jefferson era was like basketball’s answer to the black plague. It doesn’t change the fact that Big Al did some great things in a Jazz uniform.

He was undeniably the team’s go-to guy on offense, one of the best clutch players in the league statistically, a solid rebounder and a borderline All-Star.

Nevertheless, his defensive ineptitude and the fact that his presence kept the team’s promising young bigs on the bench was a point for debate among fans throughout his tenure in Utah. Many felt that the minutes given to Jefferson and Paul Millsap would have been better served by Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter.

I guess you could say we were half-right on that one.

Utah Jazz Stats: 221 GP, 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and one giant bed.
