Utah Jazz: Top Five Games to Mark on Your Calendar for 2016-17
Tuesday, January 10th vs. Cleveland
It’s incredible to think about all that LeBron James has accomplished over the last five seasons. However, despite his successes, it must be hard for the King to live with the pain of not having won a game in Salt Lake in his last five trips.
OK, sure, he’s probably not too worried about that since he’s won three rings during that stretch, but we’re all about little victories here, right?
But all jokes aside, James’ struggles in Salt Lake City have made for incredibly entertaining games for Jazz fans. Two years ago we got Gordon Hayward‘s breathtaking game winner and last year despite Hayward being sidelined with an injury, the Jazz managed to pull out a gritty victory.
Now the Jazz have a chance to deal a sixth consecutive loss to LeBron while potentially taking down the defending NBA champions. This time around, the Jazz will not only have their young and fearless core to throw at James and the Cavaliers, but they’ll also have the likes of George Hill, Boris Diaw, and Joe Johnson.
All three are very familiar with LeBron from recent playoff bouts.
Win or lose, I don’t need to explain why this is one of next season’s top games. While the Jazz look to continue their success at home against Cleveland, this game will also serve as an important measuring stick to see where they shape up against the champs.
Not to mention, it will be nationally televised on NBATV – Booyah!
It’s a Tuesday evening game, so grab some tacos and some buddies and make sure your schedule that night is absolute clear.
Next: Wednesday, April 12th vs. San Antonio
