5. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot – Philadelphia 76ers

Drafted: 24th pick in 2016 Draft

Last season stats: 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals per game on 40% shooting and 37% shooting from three-point range for KK Mega Vizura

Before the Utah Jazz traded the 12th pick in the draft to the Atlanta Hawks as part of the three team trade that brought George Hill to Utah, a lot of fans were interested in selecting Timothe Luwawu with the pick.

Luwawu is a very athletic “3 and D” type wing. He shoots a lot of threes (averaged 5.6 threes attempted a game last season) and knocks them down at a good rate. At 6’7″, he can play either the shooting guard or small forward position and be effective.

With Philadelphia being very crowded at the forwards and center positions, they would most like to see Luwawu show a consistent ability to defend the opposing shooting guard and knock down open threes. If that is something he is able to do this early in his career, he could be earning a lot of minutes pretty quick.
