Evan Fournier

2015-2016 stats: 15.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.7 apg, .467 fg%, .400 3p%, 14.71 PER

At the beginning of last year, Evan Fournier (and his man bun) came out guns blazing. He was one of the best players on a young and exciting Orlando Magic squad that looked poised to break into the playoffs. And while his scorching hot start — and the Magic’s playoff hopes — weren’t sustainable , he’s still a very capable player who would add instant firepower to the Jazz.

In both Denver and Orlando, Fournier has been praised for his work ethic and ability to fit a system — the glue guy that every team needs. He’s super smart, crafty and makes up for his lack of explosiveness with heady plays and a high basketball IQ. This manifests into escaping defenders, running off screens for open jumpers, drawing fouls, setting up teammates for easy buckets, and other positives.

He’s also a fantastic shooter — from both inside and outside the arch — who’s capable of having 30 point nights.

Oh, and one more thing, he’s a good friend and teammate of Rudy Gobert, who’s already made a pitch for the fellow Frenchman to join him in SLC.
