Despite a few initial concerns, Shelvin Mack has looked like an absolutely perfect fit for the Utah Jazz. In just two games in a Jazz uniform, his impact can’t be understated.

Could there be a happier player in the NBA right now than Shelvin Mack? Sure, he ended up in the oft overlooked and under-appreciated NBA market of Salt Lake City, but looking at the impact he’s had over the course of his first two games, I doubt that thought has even crossed his mind.

Mack went from warming the bench in Atlanta to playing a key role in consecutive wire-to-wire, hard-fought games for the Utah Jazz, which included insertion into the starting lineup by the second game. Mack’s stat line in those two games has been absolutely impressive as he is putting up averages of 16.5 points on 54.5 percent shooting and four assists per game.

And with those two performances, Mack has already won over the adoration of thousands of Utah Jazz fans who have been desperate to see a point guard who can make a consistent impact. Yet, while there’s no questioning Mack’s solid start, there are definitely some issues and concerns that have come up concerning his play and its effect on the Jazz.

Here’s some insight on Utah’s newest “star” and his performance so far.
