4) Trey Burke Probably Wants Out

Given the talk of the team’s pursuit of a point guard before the deadline, it’s clear that the Jazz have been looking for more production out of the position. However, they’re not the only ones looking to improve their situation. The same could probably be said of Burke.

While the former Wooden Award winner has been nothing but professional in response to the situations he’s faced with Utah, it’s definitely not his ideal situation. He lost his starting job to Exum last season, failed to reclaim it after the Aussie blew out his knee and has continued to struggle with inconsistency.

Despite the buzz surrounding potential deals involving Lawson or Teague, the Jazz couldn’t find the right deal to move Burke last week. They’ll undoubtedly be taking calls from other teams regarding Burke as draft night approaches and throughout the offseason.

Bottom line–Burke may be on the outs and Mack could help fill in the void should he leave.
