In the offseason, Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey reiterated on multiple occasions that the team needed increased productivity from the point guard position. With Dante Exum tearing his knee up last summer, the team’s point guard situation seemingly became even more dire.

However, rookie point-man Raul Neto is beginning to pick up the slack at the one spot for Utah. In the month of February, Neto is averaging better than 10 points per game on 50 percent shooting and 53.3 percent from behind the arc.

Despite initial concerns about his ability to shoot the basketball, Neto is proving himself as a legitimate deep threat with the basketball smarts necessary to run the Jazz offense. With that being the case, the Jazz may just be able to make a playoff run without adding Teague.
