4) Derrick Favors Is One of the Best Big Men in the NBA

Did you know that Derrick Favors is currently fifth in the NBA in steals per game? How about this one: according to the league’s PIE stat, designed to measure a player’s impact on games, Favors is the fifth most impactful player in the league behind only Stephen Curry, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.

That is, by definition, elite.

While G-Time has slumped and the Stifle Tower has missed games due to injury, Favors has been the rock on both sides of the ball for the Jazz and even played through  lingering illness in the early going. For the year, Favors is averaging 15.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.7 blocks per game.

Make no mistake about it–D-Faves is not only one of the more underrated players in the Association, but one of the best big men in the game today.
