MVP! MVP! MVP!
Tyson Newman: LeBron James. He’s the best player on possibly the best team. He’ll sneak it out this season.
Karthik Narayanan: Kevin Durant. He will have the built-in advantage of being a player returning from injury and taking a non-playoff team back to contender status.
Greg Foster: LeBron James. He’s not just motivated; he’s pissed. And he’s going to unleash his fury on the league this year. After falling short in the Finals in back-to-back seasons, James realizes that his time is running out and it’s now or never to cement his legacy. He does it in jaw-dropping fashion.
Richard Lu: Anthony Davis. I’m curious to see how LeBron performs this year, but I can’t fathom him not dropping just a tiny bit. Gentry will get the most out of Davis’ generational talents and he will dominate the league.
Ryan Aston: Fear the Beard! James Harden will be the league’s most valuable player in 2015-16. With all due respect to Steph, I think he should’ve won the award last season; the NBPA was correct to name him as their MVP at the first-ever Players Association Awards ceremony.
Blake Draper: Kevin Durant. Look, I know that Anthony Davis would seem to be one of the favorites to win the award this year, and he will certainly be sensational. But KD is back, and back with a vengeance.
After losing most of last season to foot injuries, and playing in what could be his final season with the Thunder, Durant will dominate the league this year while leading the Thunder back to the playoffs. He will be dominant enough to win this even with Russell Westbrook playing alongside him.
