Your 2015-16 NBA Champions Are…

Tyson Newman: Cleveland Cavaliers. It’s almost guaranteed that they will come out of the east. LeBron’s greatness will propel them to a championship.

Karthik Narayanan: The San Antonio Spurs. Golden State and Cleveland will have something to say about this, but I think the Spurs are too stacked to fail.

Greg Foster: The Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron and Co. will finally avenge their previous losses and win it all for C-Town. By adding Richard Jefferson and Mo Williams, along with healthy versions of Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and Anderson Varejao, the Cavs finally have the depth and talent to reach the mountain top.

LeBron wins his third Finals MVP, once again averaging close to a triple-double in a hard-fought series. His most impressive highlight comes during the post-game celebration, as he ferociously boxes out Cavs owner, Dan Gilbert, making it impossible for him to lay his hands on the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Richard Lu: It’s tough making a prediction for this because I don’t think there’s a clear-cut favorite. Every contender has something to work on, whether it be injury issues, new additions to the rotation or chemistry. So the safe route would be to choose the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

I just don’t believe in the Cavs or the Spurs enough to pick them over the Warriors and Stephen Curry will be the Finals MVP. This guy’s a bad man. Plain and simple.

Ryan Aston: San Antonio Spurs. They had no business getting eliminated in the first round last year and went out and got the players they needed to prevent it from happening again and ensure the best chance of accomplishing their championship goals in 2016.

As an aside, I’m picking the Rockets for gambling purposes. They have the best intersection of payout odds and actual ability to bring home a title.

Blake Draper: Cleveland Cavaliers. It just feels like this is the year a championship is won by a Cleveland team. LeBron will finally win one for Ohio. This is highly dependent on the Cavs having their key players healthy, but the same could be said for every team.
