5) Rudy Gobert

Rudy Gobert salvaged his preseason with a double-double and an all-around awesome performance in the finale against the Denver Nuggets. At times, Gobert seemed worn out during the preseason and looked to be feeling the effects of a summer spent playing for the French national team.

The Stifle Tower showed just how important he is to this Utah Jazz team and how his play–good or bad–can affect the outcome of games.

Rudy finished the preseason averaging slightly more rebounds than he did points with 6.8 rebounds and 6.7 points per game. Expect Rudy to be ready to go for the season opener on Wednesday and throughout his first full season as the team’s starting center.
