No. 5) Truck Robinson

The only reason Truck Robinson isn’t number two on this list is due to his short tenure with the Jazz. All we were given was his 1977-78 campaign. But oh what a campaign it was.

In his only full season with the New Orleans Jazz, Truck averaged nearly 23 points per game while snagging a league-leading nearly 15.7 boards. He ended the season as an All-Star and a member of the All-NBA First Team.

Truck became a star and one of the NBA’s best power forwards in the 1970s and 80s to due to his rugged body and bruising style of play. He was also incredibly fundamentally sound with a high basketball IQ. But above all, what made him so special was that he had the size and strength of a prototypical power forward, with the speed and agility of someone much smaller. He was basically a dump truck equipped with nitro boosters.
