Cotton Ties Max Vert Record At P3

If there’s one thing that Jazz fans can say with a high level of certainty, it’s that point guard Bryce Cotton has hops. After all, his alley-oop throwdown against the Dallas Mavericks this season was the talk of the internet. Bottom line, dude soars like Super Mario.

Courtesy of his work at P3, we now have actual, raw data to back up the point–

45 inches from the ground to the atmosphere. Not too shabby for a “short” guy from Providence.

Despite the presence of Trey Burke and Dante Exum on the team’s roster, I hope to see Cotton back in Jazz blue in 2015-16. His ability to pick up the pace and put the ball into the basket in late-season games remains one of the more pleasant surprises of the past year.
