Trust in Dennis Lindsey (via Purpleandblues.com)

The next few months we will see what Dennis Lindsey has concocted in his mind to what the Utah Jazz should look like. He let Paul Millsap a Jazz fan favorite and Al Jefferson an offensive juggernaut walk in free agency without getting anything in return. He traded up and got Trey Burke, who he feels is the right fit for the Jazz going forward. Lastly he fired Tyrone Corbin, or better yet didn’t give him a new contract so that he could find a guy that he wants running the team.

He’s been heard saying how much he loves the flexibility the team has created for him. He has also been heard saying how much he loves this upcoming draft class, but at the same time will do what’s best for the team including the possibility of trading out of it. (Continue reading here)

Utah Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts Continue Thursday (VIDEO) (via Purpleandblues.com)

The Utah Jazz wrapped up their first set of pre-draft workouts on Wednesday when they hosted six players looking to hear their name called in June come NBA Draft time. On Thursday, the Jazz will be hosting six more players looking to try and impress the Jazz front office.

The players the Jazz will be hosting Thursday will be Joe Jackson, Justin Cobbs, Josh Huestis, Fuquan Edwin, Cameron Clark, and Travis Bader. (Continue reading here)

ICYMI – Utah Jazz to make a run at Kerr (via Purpleandblues.com)

On Tuesday night when everyone was enjoying the NBA Playoffs, or at least trying to due to the blowouts, Marc Stein of ESPN dropped some information regarding the Utah Jazz and their current head coaching search. A new name that the Jazz could be potentially targeting, TNT analyst Steve Kerr.

The Jazz have been rumored to want to interview more than 20 possible head coaches to fill the vacancy left when the Jazz decided not to re-sign Tyrone Corbin. Other names that have been in Jazz rumors to become the next head coach is European coaching legend Ettore Messina, Atlanta Hawks assistant coach Quin Snyder, Phoenix Suns assistant coach Mike Longabardi, and San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Jim Boylen. Before the rumor of the Jazz wanting to talk to Kerr, rumors were that Boylen, former University of Utah head coach, was the front runner for the job. (Continue reading here)

What we learned about the Utah Jazz this season (via BleacherReport.com)

Adversity fosters growth, right? That at least has to be the hope in Utah after the 57-loss season endured by the young core of the Jazz.

That kind of rough year was largely expected when Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap were allowed to walk as free agents last summer, but the harsh reality was still difficult to accept as losses piled up.

There were bright spots, though, and lessons learned along the way. Perhaps the biggest for those outside the organization is that there is definitely some talent on this team—unrefined and inexperienced, but still evident.

Each of the five members of the team’s young core—Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, Alec Burks, Enes Kanter and Trey Burke—gave reasons to be excited about their potential. (Continue reading here)

Utah Jazz Pre-Draft Workouts Day 1 (via KSL.com)

The Utah Jazz began its pre-draft workouts with six players who are projected to be selected either in the second round or will go undrafted.

Here is a look at all the players attending Wednesday’s workouts. Interviews with Jazz Vice President of Player Personnel Walt Perrin, Oregon’s Mike Moser, Virginia’s Akil Mitchell and Providence’s Bryce Cotton can all be heard above.

Pay the pick: Jazz to sell limited number of season tickets based on lottery slot (via UtahJazz.com)

The Utah Jazz are offering 500 season ticket packages at a “Pay the Pick” price ranging from a $1-7 per game, based on the results of the NBA Draft Lottery, beginning at 8:30 a.m. today.

Under the “Pay the Pick” promotion, season tickets could be priced as low as $44 for an upper bowl seat, with the cost per game equaling the draft pick the team receives in the lottery. For example, if the Jazz is the No. 1 pick, the price would be $1 per game, or $44 for the season (41 regular season games and three preseason games). The Jazz currently holds the slot for the No. 4 pick. If the Jazz maintains that position, the $4 per game cost would amount to $176 for the season.

Fans can make their Jazz “Pay the Pick” season ticket purchase now by calling (801) 355-DUNK (3865). There is a limit of four seats per household. More details are available at www.utahjazz.com/paythepick.
