7. Sacramento Kings – Marcus Smart, Oklahoma State University
The Kings are a team that surprises me. When you look at their roster, on paper, they have so much talent there. DeMarcus Cousins has a temper, but if he can control it, he is one of the best young big men in the NBA. They drafted Ben McLemore before this season, traded for Derrick Williams, Isiah Thomas has been a huge surprise at point guard. The Kings should be better than they are, but again, they find themselves back in the lottery. Adding a guy like Marcus Smart is going to give them a guy who can get to the basket and knows how to score. He is not a three-point shooting threat, but on the flip side he is a pretty good defender. That is something that the Kings could use. The Kings could end up tanking the rest of the season away, but I think out of the bottom seven teams, the Kings will win the most games from here on out.
