14. Memphis Grizzlies – Doug McDermott, Creighton University
There is a chance that McDermott won’t fall this far in the lottery, because I expect that once the NCAA tournament starts, he could have a pretty big showing and impress a lot of teams. He could see himself creep up into the top ten, but for now he is at number fourteen. If he falls this far in the draft, the Grizzlies will get a steal! McDermott is one of the best scorers in the NCAA. Not just today’s NCAA, but in the NCAA history. He is also a rare breed of a player these days as he is a senior at Creighton. With all the one and done players that we see now a days, it is unusual to see someone stay in college this long. However, McDermott has the ability to score the ball and will continue to do that in the NBA. Kids that tend to stay in college until their senior year are typically more mature when they enter into the NBA. I can see McDermott having that maturity as he enters the league and when Memphis steals him at fourteen, look out for the Grizzlies.
