1. Derrick Favors game-winning putback jam to beat the Lakers
To me, one of the best, if not THE best, games of the season thus far, the Jazz were locked in a battle with the Los Angeles Lakers at home. The Lakers were a bit short handed as Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, and Pau Gasol were all dealing with injury. Their next best player, Nick Young, had fouled out of the game. With 10 seconds left, the game was tied at 103. Trey Burke caught the ball at the top of the key and passed it off to Gordon Hayward. After Trey cleared off the right wing, Favors came up to set the high pick and roll. With Hayward coming off the screen, he seen a lane to the basket. Favors trailed the play so that if the ball happened to come off the rim, he would be in position to make a play. He made a play. The Gordon Hayward shot came off the front of the rim perfectly and Favors soared up above the Lakers big man, Jordan Hill. That dunk put the Jazz up 105-103 with 2.1 seconds left to go. The Lakers were unable to get a shot off and Derrick Favors sealed the deal with one of the best plays in his young career!
