Number 9

Rodney Hood – Sophomore

Rodney Hood played his first season in college with the Mississippi State Bulldogs and then sat out a season so he could transfer to Duke.  The transition has seemed to work out well for Hood as he has been a great compliment to Jabari Parker for the Devils.  Hood is averaging 18.4 points per game so far this season, showing that he has a great ability to score the ball.  Teams like his size and that he’s able to score the ball at an efficient rate while other players being drafted at his position have had trouble in that area.  Hood is projected to be drafted somewhere in the lottery but I believe because he has such a great ability to score the ball that he’ll be taken in the top ten by a team needing another scorer.
