7. Which team will represent the conference in the NBA Finals?

Haslam – Brooklyn Nets- They brought in a couple old guys that in my opinion change the game better than almost anyone out there.  With KG and Pierce led by D-Will the Nets are certain to compete every night and win the East.

L. McDermott –  Brooklyn Nets – Let’s see. The Nets already had Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, and Brook Lopez on the roster. Then they go and add Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Jason Terry in a trade and Andrei Kirilenko in free agency. They also have a lot of nice young back ups in Andray Blatche, Shaun Livingston, Mason Plumlee (who they acquired in this year’s draft), Mirza Teletovic and DJ White. They also have Reggie Evans who gets under everyone’s skin with his hustle. This is going to be the team to watch in the East this year. The Bulls could also be in the mix with the return of Derrick Rose.

R. McDermott – The Bulls

Newman – The Heat.  Even with the Nets getting a lot better and the Bulls getting Derrick Rose back I still don’t see anyone beating the Heat.  Lebron proved he can come through in big games in the playoffs.

Anderson – I like my dark horse–New York. Carmelo’s not getting any younger, and he wants to win a championship. That’s enough to light a fire under that team.

Powers – I’m giving it to the Bulls. I think this is the year that the Heat get beat. Like mentioned before, with a healthy Derrick Rose, the Bulls can be a very dangerous team.
